Oak and Iron Fundraiser June 25th. 5:30-8:30PM. We’ve set the date for our quarterly fundraiser at Andover’s own craft brewery. Music, auction items and updates on our progress, and of course, great local brews.

Our Story. In the Summer of 2023, passionate users of the Haggetts Pond trail came together to save Haggetts Pond trail from being paved. The town management of Andover had filed a plan to transform the trail from its natural and fragile beauty into a paved mixed use path. “They want to do what?” was the usual response when early members stood at the trailhead gathering signatures on a petition to stop the paving. A year later, these friends incorporated with the vision of preserving the beautiful Haggetts trail for current and future generations. Haggetts Trail travels by the town of Andover’s and Reading’s water supply. Most notably, it is loved by many as a trail recovered over the course of 100 years, supporting fragile wildflife and plants. It is a celebrated destination for those who wish to experience its special character. Seniors, children, handicapped, people of various ages, come to Haggets to fish, to hike, to birdwatch, relax, recover, and rehabilitate on its forgiving trails. Please help us to save this tremendous natural beauty.

generosity of several Andover residents, we have been given a matching grant to support our
mission statement and prevent major changes to the Haggetts Pond Trail
These matching funds are an incredible opportunity for us to double the impact of every donation
we receive. Every dollar contributed this holiday season, was matched, effectively doubling the power of
your support. This means that your $50 donation became $100, your $100 donation became
$200, and so on.
Our goal was to raise $6,000 by this holiday season to fully utilize this matching grant and
enhance our efforts in protecting the Haggetts Pond Trail. With your help, we can make a
difference.
